Welcome to AKA Mastiffs & Shih Tzu
Welcome to AKA Mastiffs and Shih Tzus from Owensboro Kentucky!
"Also Known As" big lovable gentle giants, the Mastiff is a wonderful breed that will grab your heart and make a life long impression. In 2006 I bought my first mastiff "Gandalf" from a local breeder. 3 weeks later he was LONELY, so we went back there and bought his sister "Fallon".. I got a crash course on Mastiffs. I soon found a local store where I met some people that changed my life forever. They started talking about food and holistic theories and SHOWING dogs! Gandalf and Fallon were Continental Kennel Club registered and had no health testing in their pedigree...
After learning about health and good breeding ethics I decided to get a AKC show dog. I am a firm believer in trying to better the breed, and health is VERY important to me!
I got my first AKC show quality mastiff from Nancy & Jimmy Walker of LazyD Mastiffs in 2008.
In early spring of 2013 I decided that I wanted a lap dog. When I was unable to find what I wanted through adopting a rescue so I decided to take the plunge into the Shih Tzu show world. It is very different that the giant Mastiffs, but just a joy to own and show! Special thanks to Sherrie McGee for taking a chance on me.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to meet my furfamily!!
